The Oden Omlet looks delish. Cody can have one page in the next cookbook now☺️. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan, first time I saw it I thought it was an ocean as well, pretty amazing! And glacial cold! Loved the hike through the woods and all that birdsong. And walking in sand will wear you out faster than climbing a mountain I swear. Arkansas misses y’all but we are loving your new adventures ❤️❤️
I’m glad you enjoyed the dunes, I’m a Michigander, and there’s so much more of my beautiful state for you to see. Thanks for sharing your video, and Cody your omelette looked awesome!! Yum!!
Glad you guys are enjoying Michigan ! I have lived here all my life and love youtubers coming here and loving it . If you go to Mackinaw city and camp go to Mill Creek campground it sits on Lake Huron and you can see the bridge and island from there.
I get the cold, I live in Washington state and even though it's beautiful here we get a lot of rain and it's cold. This morning it was 49 degrees when I got up and we are having a high of 65 which will be great yesterday was a high of 63. I am ready for warmth. Good job Cody with everything else you do, it's sweet you are making your Angel princess breakfast :-). God bless and protect you both.
I'm so Thankful that you guys are enjoying Michigan, it's taken me a very long time to enjoy living up here, I moved here from Crowley TX. were everyone was so friendly & respectful. when we moved up here my next door neighbor said to me when I went over to meet them the wife looked me in the eyes & said If Ya ain't Dutch Ya ain't much & we DON'T want ya here... & then she shut her door... Wow... it took me a very long time to get over that one, I came from a town where I was greeted in the Winn Dixie W/Hello Darlin' How are You today, to that statement from my neighbor... talk about a slap in the face & the total rejection from a state that we had just moved up here to. Since then I've sought out the good people that are here & I've learned to avoid to those that choose to be unkind & pray for them to see that we all have to live on this earth so why not show kindness I've now chosen to do simple acts of kindness to those who seem to have no manors & enjoy this state W/All its beauty. I remember my youngest daughters first words when we crossed over the state lines & she saw her first really big trees, she asked me what are those BIG GIANTS & do they walk around. she was used to the little Mesquite trees in TX. LoL so when she saw these trees it blew her mind..... Anyway I'm so Happy that you are having a GREAT time here & that your able to go out & enjoy the wonderful Forests & Sand Dunes there are over 200 waterfalls in this state & most of them are in the UP so I'm told. I do hope you guys will be able to get up there before you have to move on. Take care & be safe... I love you guys & all your many adventures I look forward to them everyday..... Thank You for taking us along...
We went to the point at the end of March, and it’s so cool seeing what it looks like now! So different! It truly brings me so much joy knowing you guys are seeing the beauty that Michigan offers😊 Grateful you are sharing these moments of you within this beautiful state so maybe more people will also recognize the beauty Michigan offers! I know you’re going to really enjoy the U.P!
I was born and raised in Michigan I love the state I now live in Arizona and go back to Michigan every year and when I come there it is so nice by the time I go home I will agree it is cold It was nice to see Cody cooking I was 10 ish when I was there and I went to lake Michigan by my self I got in big trouble doing it. Stay safe and healthy and enjoy your time in Michigan safe travels
Awesome guys. Beautiful Lake Michigan!!! The water will warm up in July and you would be able to swim in it. We have many times when we camp at Lake Michigan National recreation area campgrounds. It is true, looking at the great lakes makes you feel like you’re looking at the ocean, but it is really more beautiful in person. You must cross the Mackinac Bridge into the UP. Tahquamenon Falls is a must. Pictured rocks national Lake shoreline is probably the number one must in Munising! On the beautiful Lake superior! We Will be camping for two weeks on the 1 July just south of Munising near Picture’s Rocks ourselves. Lake of the clouds is extremely awesome. Michigan is just an awesome state. I’ve been following you guys for a long time. Do enjoy your adventures! Can’t wait to see what’s next for you guys.
I camped on South Manitou 2-3 times as a teenager. It is a beautiful island with miles of great hiking (mostly flat!) with tall dunes on the west side of the island. There is also a lot of history on the island as both a fueling stop for steamships (wood), the only large safe harbor for a long ways, and a farming community.
So glad you are getting to our beautiful great lakes shared as a Nation. Cody I would have loved that omelette even the first one great job. Excited to see your progress East
You have done a great coverage of Michigan’s Sleeping Bear Dune! As a Michigander ( that’s what they call people born and raised in Michigan) you have shown the beauty of our state. ❤️👣🌞
Looks yummy Cody. I like seeing the husband make a meal & help clean up. I love the legend of the cub bears rising up making islands. I amagine walking in sand can slow your pace.
Hey guys your favorite beach bum here 🤠 ! I'm thinking that Kelley should do her own cooking show ! She is an incredible lady she is Brilliant and outstanding Chef and Personally would rather watch Kelley cook than any of my Hero Chefs like Bourdain , Zimmern and last but not least the mighty trail master cook cowboy Kent Rollins and his lovely wife Shannon ! Kelley you are that good 👍👍😊 ! That soup looked so rich so delicious 😋! Im gonna try to make it too !
Y'all are definitely in a paddlers paradise, so much to see in great lakes region; and would be awesome if you could see some northern lights action, God bless your travels.
Most excellent! Kellie had it correct at the end, its man-a-too for the islands. The water gets much more beautiful. Actually from Manistee up towards Empire is usually the best. Great overlook at Arcadia Overlook off of the M-22 in Arcadia. Now Cody...... first of all good job on the Oden Omelets. But there's a reason why you film and she cooks and likewise. 😁 Y'all did the trails and dune climb at a good time. Another month from now and it will be so crowded. Use your pass and do the Pierce Stocking Drive. It's pretty cool and good information there. Watch out, y'all will start falling in love with the area. It will definitely have a special place in your heart.
Long time watcher, new subscriber here. Whenever I watch one of your videos, I always feel like I'm just hanging out with you guys. Always great stuff. Keep up the awesome content!
The food knows you love cooking it! Flavor is a good cooks secret, the layering of flavors, the deeper the better, by that I mean layers of more and more types of spices and foods together makes all the difference, right Kelli! Hey those omelets looked great, everyone would have problems doing them cast iron. Back in the day when I was little, Mom only ever had cast iron skillets, there weren't any teflon yet! THese days, I have a diamond surface skillet for any eggs, cast iron for meat! and sauces.
We went there about 8 years ago and stayed in a house, that was called a tree house. It was beautiful. My sister lives near Detroit. I hope you have fun. You should go to the Ford museum.
yes we have alot of birch trees, and we love them. AND also back in the day, they use to peel off the birch and use it to write on. Be careful of that dune grass, it can be sharp sometimes LOL ALot of people think, a mile and half, well that isnt too bad, but your walking in sand that you sink in. AND its harder than you expect walking on the dunes. Those ferns all around you, can be eaten when they first come up through the ground, it is called fenal then! Also, throughout our woods is wild onions and you can eat them too. Enjoy our Dunes, dude! Also, might want to check out some of our wineries........We have aot of them up there.
I don't like making eggs on cast iron either... I usually go low n slow on eggs but cast iron seems to get tooo hot. I'd totally eat that goodness though Cody! I wanna see ya get in that kitchen more often! I think you'd like it if you did. and its just trail and error. don't worry bout not knowing what you're doing.
I live not far from the dunes. Some of my favorite childhood memories are running down the dunes zigzagging trying not to fall. But honestly falling was part of the fun because you would roll a long way.😁 ( You would end up with sand everywhere.) And I do mean everywhere. Lol .. we're talking ears , nose , and few other places I won't mention.😁 Enjoy.
We have a little saying in Michigan if you don't like the weather and wait 5 minutes it'll change. Unless it's July which is normally just hot and dry and very muggy. If you ever get a chance you should head out to Beaver Island you get there from a ferry ride from charlevoix Michigan to 2 and 1/2 hour boat ride 32 mi offshore It's expensive but they do have really nice rustic camping and I'm sure I mentioned it but it gets really hot in Michigan It also gets really cold we truly have four seasons. But most of us just say we have two winter and construction season for the roads I hope you enjoyed yourself.
Good job on the omelets Cody👍and Kelly, the soup looked yummy too. Scenery was very beautiful😍 I love the birch trees, the flowers and the beaches were so pretty. Thank you guys so much for sharing💚🌲
Super envious of that cool weather with this heat advisory we are having here in Kentucky right now...and we have a five day family camping trip starting Thursday! The omelets looked great as well as that potato soup. For cooking eggs on cast iron I always use lots of butter. Seems to do the job the best. Michigan looks breathtaking and those views were spectacular! Thanks for sharing. -Hedy
I had to learn not to wash the cast iron. Never, ...ever wash it. Just wipe it out. Make the pan smoke with grease in it. Then... set it aside and let it completely cool. Then pour out excess and wipe clean. The longer you keep doing this, the more non stick it will become. By they way, Cody ...your omlettes looked PHENOMENAL! 👌
Nice cool path for hot days beautiful Lake Michigan i went there in my early yrs of Marriage and went fishing not knowing how huge this lake is I WE WHERE FISHING but little did I know how large I keep asking where the landHAHA Michigan is a beautiful state enjoy your time 😀
If you come east to New Hampshire let us know. Plus when in NH you need to go to Hampton beach to stick a toe in the water , i think you’ll find it’s colder than Lake Michigan.
From a person that grew up on the great lakes, there is no place like them. After lake Michagen, I suggest you to to Ohio to Lake Erie. One of warmest lakes. unlike Michagan. There is great camping if you go to Catawba Island (can drive to) Then hop on a cheap ferry , you can take your vehicle on and camp on Middle bass island or kellys island. You will love it!
Crystal is beautiful, I think Cody did amazing job for not using a cast iron i know you take care of your cast iron trail looks nice Coty made me hungry so I am getting my breakfast 😀
If the water was still you could see a couple of wrecks off of Pyramid Point. My GG Grandfather’s original homestead was just east of there on Good Harbor Bay in 1854. In 6th grade the last day of school we all would go to the dunes for the day. We were instructed not to walk to the lake. Check out the Life Saving Station at Glen Harbor great history.
Cheering you both on!! I love that crystal y’all found. Just in Sedona I saw something looked like this said it was Lumerian Gold quartz, so cool y’all! 🌌💗🏕🙏🏽🌌☯️
I can commiserate on the temp ... East Kootenays British Columbia is under weather advisories, with torrential rains and snow in some parts ..... I have a canopy and a heater I'm trying to get out as soon as I can again.
Use your immersion blender to scramble your eggs. You will have the fluffiest eggs ever and no need to add milk or heavy cream. Heat a little butter in the pan then pour the eggs in. Amazing!
Hey guys! Great job on the video and representing my area so well. Loved watching it. Yay Cody, cooking! Right!?, the dunes are brutal but so worth it. I have backpacked on the Manitou's. Super fun! So great to see you at Meijer last week. I was so excited, it made my day! 🥰
Hope you guys got the chance to do Pierce Stocking drive and stop at the Lake Michigan overlook, by far the best view at Sleeping Bear Dunes IMO. The Empire Bluffs trail probably 2nd best.
You guys are so hilarious! A joy and entertaining to watch. How sweet that he is so good humored and you guys can laugh at yourselves. Beautiful area, thank you for sharing! Smellevision!! Haha
You guys are in my neck of the woods! :D So cool! I live in Suttons Bay- just up the way from Pyramid Point on Leelanau Peninsula. I go to the trail often, it's my top trail to hike, aside from a few nature reserve trails. Did you guys take the side loop trail off Pyramid Point that goes into the valley too? There's like wide open fields and then it goes through some woods again and loops back. Hope you have a great time!
Well done Cody. Any meal you don’t cook yourself taste extra good I think I might just have to cook an omelette for brekkie. Lol Wow what an amazing view, the colour of the water 💧 is so beautiful Stunning views Cheers Lynne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺🐨👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
I love potato soup...that looked scrumptious! Cody, your omelets looked good. I make an omelet with small strips of spam, tiny chunks of pineapple, julienne carrots, layered Baby Swiss cheese (my cheese addiction), close it and topped with slightly sautéed cilantro for color...salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to flavor. My buddies and I used to make these after camping on the beaches of the Big Island. Food flavors seem to be enhanced by fresh air. I'm going to use Kelly's potato soup recipe when I camp on Lake Tahoe this coming holiday weekend.

I’m glad you enjoyed the dunes, I’m a Michigander, and there’s so much more of my beautiful state for you to see. Thanks for sharing your video, and Cody your omelette looked awesome!! Yum!!
Also, Lake Superior is the largest of the Great Lakes. Be sure to visit there. There is a very cool lighthouse in Paradise & Brimley in the UP.
I hope you got my attachment about the Indian Legend of Mishe Mokwa. The momma bear of Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.
Live my travels through all of you you tubers. The dunes were awesome keep more coming I love everything.
Love Cody cooking too! Great job Cody!❤️👏
Loved the time you took for Cody cooking breakfast. You guys were so cute together. Great video! 🌺❣️
Cody , you are a top notch videographer ! Great looking omelet too dude!
Lol that hike is brutal. When you said you were doing it I was yelling “take lots of water”. Love that you are enjoying MI.
Thanks for introducing Lake Michigan to us Southern folks. Those views are amazing! One day... Yall Cody was cooking lol
Good looking omelette Cody! What a beautiful crystal you found.
It is amazing how much better food tastes when prepare outdoors and consumed in a senic setting
Cody will be a chef yet. 😁😁 Beautiful area, I would love to see it someday.
Fun watching Cody cook breakfast.👏👏
Cody is tentative while Kellie is poised to help.😊🥰
The omelets looked great; it can be the start of your cooking repertoire Cody! Garnishes aren’t just for looks, they should be eaten too!
You are SO close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, I hope that park is on your Michigan tour. It's great to see you enjoying this beautiful state!
Glad you guys are enjoying Michigan ! I have lived here all my life and love youtubers coming here and loving it . If you go to Mackinaw city and camp go to Mill Creek campground it sits on Lake Huron and you can see the bridge and island from there.

Way to go Cody 🤙
So cool Cody cooking breakfast for you! That view of the Lake was beautiful! Been to Michigan and the UP once and would love to go back!
The omelets looked really good. We need more of Cody's cooking!
Thank you for sharing your time in Michigan. As a northern Michigan resident we love our spaces and I am glad you are enjoying it also.
Great video. Cody nice omelettes. Baked potato soup looked amazing!

So glad you are getting to our beautiful great lakes shared as a Nation. Cody I would have loved that omelette even the first one great job. Excited to see your progress East
Why Cody, I do believe you made some up town high rent omelets! What a beautiful crystal.
You have done a great coverage of Michigan’s Sleeping Bear Dune! As a Michigander ( that’s what they call people born and raised in Michigan) you have shown the beauty of our state. ❤️👣🌞
Way to go Cody. Now I know what I want for lunch. I’m not a fan of mushrooms but I’ll use something else.
Looks yummy Cody. I like seeing the husband make a meal & help clean up. I love the legend of the cub bears rising up making islands. I amagine walking in sand can slow your pace.
I just love watching you guys. Gotten many good tips from watching you, for camping!!!❤️❤️
BACON !!! Ahh Baked potato soup looks so gooooood ! Once again STARVING 😋!

It's extremely hot here in Arkansas right now. So be thankful y'all are where you are.
When I saw another video I said, "it must be my birthday"😊. Keep'em coming. And you're in my home state to boot. Loving it.
I was in the UP when you filmed this. I was freezing. But I wish I was up there now, it's 97 down here in South Ga
Love Lake Michigan!
Welcome to the neighborhood, we live just north of the dunes up in Northport. Glad to hear that you're both enjoying the area.
Love seeing you loving out state of Michigan, Lake Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes! I knew you'd love it! That is a tough hike!
Great job Cody! I learned if wash cast iron with just water and paper towel it won’t stick.
Y'all are definitely in a paddlers paradise, so much to see in great lakes region; and would be awesome if you could see some northern lights action, God bless your travels.
Camped for week at Sleeping Bear several years ago… it was great week!
Awesome video glad you guys are enjoying our state!
Y'all did the trails and dune climb at a good time. Another month from now and it will be so crowded. Use your pass and do the Pierce Stocking Drive. It's pretty cool and good information there. Oh my that is my favorite soup to eat! Baked potato , Kelly made it look so good! Man I wish I could have been there to have some!😍
crystals are beautiful first time seeing one that big.
King of queens reference... you got me hooked.
30-40 minutes to Traverse City. Good breweries and restaurants there! My fave town in Michigan!
Over by the thumb you need to kayak to turnip rock. Glad you enjoying Michigan weather
The food knows you love cooking it! Flavor is a good cooks secret, the layering of flavors, the deeper the better, by that I mean layers of more and more types of spices and foods together makes all the difference, right Kelli! THese days, I have a diamond surface skillet for any eggs, cast iron for meat! and sauces.
We went there about 8 years ago and stayed in a house, that was called a tree house. It was beautiful. My sister lives near Detroit. I hope you have fun. You should go to the Ford museum.
What Cody cooking? Looks good BTW nice Jim Carrey imitation
You both are so good together! Enjoyed the Journey to Michigan with you two. Have fun and May God bless you and keep you safe!
Beautiful pics, loving watching your shows, needing some recipes!

I like how Cody is doing the cooking but Kelly is hovering like a helicopter.
In her defense she was filming and giving Cody a heads up on how the burner flame is unpredictable. 🔥
Yeah, lol she's a backseat cooker..
Made me want to cook an omelette…
@@maryj1754 - I prefer when someone else prepares one for me. 🍳
The only way someone will make one for me is at a restaurant
I don't like making eggs on cast iron either... I usually go low n slow on eggs but cast iron seems to get tooo hot. I'd totally eat that goodness though Cody! Will have to visit Michigan soon!
If you come east to New Hampshire let us know. Plus when in NH you need to go to Hampton beach to stick a toe in the water , i think you’ll find it’s colder than Lake Michigan.

Very pretty place!
You should use an uv light to look for stones at night. There is a singe in Michigan that glows under uv.
Stone .the petoski stone
Enjoyed the video. Great job. Charles
I can commiserate on the temp ... East Kootenays British Columbia is under weather advisories, with torrential rains and snow in some parts ..... I have a canopy and a heater I'm trying to get out as soon as I can again.

Nice crystal cluster!
Kelly, your soup looks delicious. I can’t wait to try it. I told my wife about the cookbook and when they ship we definitely want one.
You guys should go to Turkey Run state park in Indiana. I beleave its in montezuma Indiana. Realy cool trails
Good job on that omelette Cody. I wanna hear more on the story of how y’all met in Olive Garden 😁.
Should have hit Fishtown which is in Leland, Carlsons has fresh caught cold smoked Salmon and Whitefish. Yummy
We went there
Hay guy you look happy again. Just a tip on eggs
I got this from the food channel. Add water not milk it has a better reaction and makes eggs fluffy
Lol
Wow what an amazing view, the colour of the water 💧 is so beautiful
Stunning views
Cheers Lynne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺🐨👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
You might get back to camp late, but it stays light forever..
Agreed!!! We noticed that the other night at straits state park it was pretty interesting 😁
